Mumbai BMW hit-and-run case accused Mihir Shah

Mihir Shah and two friends drank 12 big whisky pegs before the crash. Mihir Shah, 24, and his companions drank 12 whiskey pegs at Vice-Global Tapas Bar (Don Giovanni). Shah’s BMW collided with Kaveri Nakhwa’s bike at 5 a.m. on Sunday. Following the May Porsche accident in Pune, the bar’s license was suspended for excise violations. Violations of selling in prohibited places and serving underage patrons.

Mihir Shah, the accused in the Worli hit-and-run case, and two of his pals allegedly consumed 12 large pegs of whiskey on the fateful day, or approximately four pegs apiece, according to the bill paid at the bar, excise officials said on Wednesday. According to their findings, this amount can cause intoxication for up to eight hours.

The cash notes and receipts refer to the bar as Vice-Global Tapas Bar, Mumbai.

Mihir and his pals left the bar at 1.30 a.m. on Sunday, and the incident occurred around 5 a.m., less than four hours after intoxication, according to administrative sources. Kaveri Nakhwa (45) was riding a two-wheeler, while Mihir (24) was driving a BMW at the time of the accident. The state excise department has already suspended the license of the Juhu bar that provided hard liquor to Mihir, who is under the age of 25.

The excise department discovered irregularities at Don Giovanni Restaurant and Jobel Hospitalities Pvt. Ltd., such as selling liquor to non-permitted areas. Other Irregularities are like failing to submit licensed premises for inspection. And combining the permitted liquor serving area with the non-permitted restaurant zone.

Following a fatal Porsche accident in Pune in May, 60 bars in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region were closed for 5–10 days for not adhering to closure times, serving alcohol to minors, and failing to provide patrons with a day’s drinking permit.
