There’s a new AI-generated song featuring fake Drake and The Weeknd circulating the internet, and some people are questioning its authenticity. However, it seems like the song may actually be a tech startup’s creation, as deep Twitter dives reveal.

The track, “Heart on My Sleeve,” is currently going viral on TikTok and Twitter. Many believe it is a work of artificial intelligence. This would make it one of the most AI-produced tracks out there, and it sounds like it would be pretty dope.
The opening intro sounds familiar to Young Metro. It turns out that the track has the same beat used in Drake’s club hit “In My Feelings.” Weeknd delivers a catchy chorus that sounds like it was specifically for the song. Both artists put together an incredibly solid track.
According to Twitter users Childish Gambino’s new album, Awaken, My Love! is the work of AI. If this assumption comes true then it might be over for the music industry. The entire music line from artists to creators will be in danger. For now, it is unclear if this is actually the case. If AI and machines can create beautiful works of art with no human help. In the coming future music industry will be in AI hands. However, if it turns out to be true this would be a remarkable advance in technology.
Is it AI or a trap?
There is a rumor that the lyrics of the track are an artificial intelligence program work. Mitchell Cohen of AppSumo has suggested that the AI was likely created to soundtrack a video game or movie. He started a Twitter thread looking into the origins of the song “Heart on My Sleeve”. It seems that the song was originally created by a TikTok account by the name of ghostwriter977.
And the bio link goes to a Laylo page asking people for their phone #.
That'd be a strange move from Drake.
Or a strange move from an ai ghostwriter wanting more streams. Why not just link it directly?
Also, what is Laylo?
Here's where it gets interesting… pic.twitter.com/6TxW0rnNZp

The account claims to have the full song. But as you click the link in their bio. You end up on a weird site that asks for your phone number which is very fishy.
The website link takes you to a startup called Laylo. They brag about being able to give creators more tools to reach more fans/subscribers by “dropping”. Although, this ghostwriter account has recently uploaded another AI Drake song just a few days ago. It is a cover of Colbie Caillat’s “Bubbly” in Drake’s voice.
Mitch is hesitant to say with 100% certainty that Laylo’s marketing scheme is responsible for the recent uptick in users, but he and others are convinced that it is. This is because they saw that Laylo retweeted his entire thread and then responded with a cheeky ghost emoji. It is plausible that this was done as a way to attract new users or customers to the company, assuming it is indeed Laylo behind the marketing campaign.
