Tom Cruise real name is Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, he was born on July 3, the year 1962, at a place called Syracuse, New York, U.S. He is one of the famous American actors who developed in the 1980s as one of Hollywood’s most popular leading men. Tom was known for his amazing looks and for his versatility.

Tom loved acting since his high school years, he made his film debut with the movie ‘Endless Love’ in the year 1983. And also the Outsider was released in the year 1983 before starring as a high-school senior who turns his parent’s home into a brothel in Risky Business which got released in the year 1983. The movie was a significant achievement, the movie collected Tom sweeping recognization.

But what made Ton Cruise, so big with the stardom was a movie called Top Gun which was released in the year 1986. The highest-grossing film of that year, in which Tom performed as a navy jet pilot. In the year 1986 Cruise appeared opposite Paul Newman in The Color of Money, which was directed by Martin Scorsese, and two years later starred as an autistic man’s selfish brother in Rain Man. For his portrayal of a Vietnam War veteran turned activist in Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cruise received his first Academy Award nomination.

Career

Tom Cruise did plenty of action films in the year 2000s which includes the science-fiction thriller Minority Report, which got released in the year (2002). It was directed by Steven Spielberg; The Last Samurai which came out in the year (2003), In this movie he played a disaffected U.S. soldier who joins himself with a samurai community. And the gritty Los Angeles-set Collateral in the year (2004), in which he took on the role of an obdurate contract killer. He reteamed with Spielberg on War of the Worlds (2005), a visually impressive adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel of the same name. In 2008 Cruise earned laughs as an abrasive movie executive in the comedy Tropic Thunder, and he portrayed the historical figure Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, a German army officer who organized an attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler, in Valkyrie.
