After the cliffhanger the last episode finished on, there couldn’t have been the worst moment for Riverdale to skip an episode. Since the show fast-forwarded seven years into the future and watched the team return to Riverdale as grown adults, fans are more gripped than ever with the drama and mysteries of the town. But after last week saw the gang started their new jobs teaching at Riverdale High, fans might need to wait a week longer to learn what happens next, and they are not happy.

Riverdale won’t be airing episode seven days, titled Fire in the Sky, on The CW tonight, Wednesday, March 3.

Fans on the internet are already whining that they will need to wait more this time around and took to Twitter to voice their disappointment.

1 fan said: “Just a reminder for anybody who needs to hear it there isn’t a brand new episode of Riverdale tonight.”

Someone else has been sarcastically responded to the information: “With no Riverdale episode at least I could find a good night’s sleep tonight snzjsnjssn.” (sic)

1 person shared with their Wednesday viewing strategies for the following week: “I can not wait for next Wednesday to watch The Masked singer season 5 it’s going to be awesome cool and sort duh bizarre too though can it be March 10th already please today going to be dull since no Riverdale tonight it is an older episode on tonight however have.”

The previous episode ended in using a major cliffhanger, as viewers saw a flame engulfing Archie’s (played by KJ Apa) home with him and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) trapped indoors.

It wasn’t even the sole fire of the incident, as earlier on, the college was set ablaze with a group of teenage arsonists out of Stonewall Prep sent by Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) in retaliation for the gang trying to revive the faculty.

Hiram isn’t messing about, and also the manner that Archie comes up with how to get back is to restart the Riverdale High football team, the Bulldogs.

On the other hand, the funding is scarce as Toni (Vanessa Morgan) brought back the Vixens, the school’s cheer squad, which were captained by her ex Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch).

If Cheryl hears the news, she hotfoots it to Riverdale High to find out what’s happening. Could it have all been a plan by Toni to reconnect with Cheryl?
