The channel The CW officially presented the first episode of season 5 of Riverdale that fans waited so long and that kept them in a state of anxiety for some months.
Riverdale finally returned on January 20 and began exactly where the last aired episode of the fourth season of the youth drama ended, introducing fans to the gang’s prom. These were the most shocking moments left by the first episode of season 5.
One scene that fans might call embarrassing was when Veronica (Camila Mendes) sang a song written by Archie (KJ Apa) in the speakeasy, dedicated to Betty (Lili Reinhart). In the drama, Veronica is convinced that the song was written for her.
At Riverdale’s prom, Archie confessed to his girlfriend Veronica that the song he wrote was dedicated to Betty. In the midst of Veronica’s confusion, Archie also reveals to her that there was a kiss between him and Betty.
Veronica decided to end her story with Archie and suggested that everyone go their own way. Nor did he tell Jughead ( Cole Sprouse ) so as not to damage his relationship with Betty. At the end of the episode, Hiram hears Veronica telling her mother what happened.
During Riverdale’s prom, a new Voyeur video was shown in which a masked person was seen displaying a sign that reads “David” being killed. This motivated Betty and Jughead to find out about David, but he was not at the scene.
