Well, 20 years later, KJo has made Jaya recreate the same unforgettable scene for his upcoming directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is tout to be a family drama starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt in lead roles alongside Jaya and Dharmendra playing pivotal characters. The makers have just announced the official release date of the film as February 10, 2023, along with a fun BTS video showing all the craziness that happens behind the camera. Well, it’s in this video that one can see Jaya’s character being introduced with the aarti scene, similar to her scene from K3G.

The promo
The promo also gives a glimpse of what to expect from Alia and Ranveer’s chemistry in the film. They were last seen together in Gully Boy and their fresh pairing had become an instant favourite. Now, as they have yet again reunited for RARKPK, they look all the more stunning together. Alia is seen sporting a lot of gorgeous sarees in the film while Ranveer is seen sporting longer hair than usual.
While sharing the promo and the release date of the film, Karan Johar penned a rather emotional note saying, “After 7 long years, it gives me such joy and gratitude to be here and announcing that my next #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani, a love story at its heart with the soul of family values – is releasing on 10th February 2023.”
Karan Johar’s last film as a director is Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which got release in 2016. It had Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essaying the main characters.

The stars and the film’s director Karan Johar shared glimpses of the first day of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani shoot on social media early morning and thrilled the Internet. In the clip, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh get ready for their respective roles while Karan Johar guides them on set. We also get a glimpse of Alia Bhatt’s look in the film – dress in a saree and sporting a bindi.
Along with the cast and crew members, the clip also features fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
