The original script for Captain Marvel 2 was set to feature one of the Avengers’ strongest adversaries as the movie’s lead villains.
According to That Hashtag Prove, the first script by Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck, and Nicole Perlman featured Michael Korvac because of its main villain. The script has been rewritten by WandaVision staff writer Megan McDonnell, though That Hashtag Show notes both Korvac and Monica Rambeau were characters that made it to McDonnell’s draft.
In Marvel Comics canon, Michael Korvac is a being from another universe who ended up absorbing the Power Cosmic when trying to hack into the database of Galactus’ space station. He battled and murdered several members of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy before committing suicide once he discovered his wife Carina doubted him. Korvac has reappeared in Christopher Cantwell and CAFU’s Iron Man run, intending to recover his godlike powers.

Captain Marvel 2 has begun to Complete its cast, together with Zawe Ashton portraying the primary protagonist and Marvel Studios allegedly Searching for a celebrity in the vein of Michael B. Jordan or John Boyega to fulfil a role. Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani may also reprise their characters in the film as Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, respectively.
Directed by Nia DaCosta and composed by Megan McDonnell, Captain Marvel 2 celebrities Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. The movie arrives in theaters on Nov. 11, 2022.
