Bengaluru is once again under water as heavy rains cause flooding; a yellow signal was already issued

Significant downpours pelted the IT hub of Bengaluru on Wednesday evening. Flooding numerous districts in the east, south, and central sections of the city. Amid the prediction for heavy rains in Bengaluru several areas of Karnataka over the next few days. The following three days will see continued rain, therefore the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow advisory, which indicates heavy rain.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) predicts widespread very light to moderate rain. With occasional heavy to very heavy rain, particularly in Bengaluru and the state’s coastal areas. In the meanwhile, the heavy downpour flooded upscale apartment buildings and residences. The damaged power lines, and backed up traffic also affected. Many people  left trapped in their houses and on the highway. Residents rescued from waterlogged regions using boats and even tractors.

Areas which affected in Bengaluru

Parts of Bengaluru have declared a vacation for both schools and high schools as the city is still being pummeling by torrential rain. Bengaluru is still underwater in several areas.

Since large tech parks in the suburbs continue to be under water as a result of overflowing lakes and storm water drains, several IT businesses have requested that their staff work from home.

State Information Technology Minister Ashwat Narayan scheduled to confer with IT leaders. In the place of Vidhan Sabha at 5 p.m. today to address the flood in the IT corridor.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Bommai cited the “maladministration” of the previous Congress government as the cause of the city’s flooding. According to him, they have given the go-ahead for building projects. To be carried out “right-left-center” on tank bunds and in buffer zones around lakes.

Bellandur and Varthur, two overflowing lakes have submerged residential neighbor hoods close to the lake. To evacuate inhabitants from inundated neighbor hoods, tractors and boats were used.
