It soon became one of my favourites because a huge sports anime fan. I used to drool all of the ways over it! Its vibrant portrayal of figure skating’s technical characteristics is combined with this kind of smooth animation the inherent elegance of this series will be recognized by those viewing it.

By the proper depiction of tactics to the outfits worn by every athlete, the attention to detail makes this a stunning and highly immersive experience.

Coupled with all the delicious storyline, it’s surely about the waitlist of any enthusiastic anime enthusiast. Most of us have watched the series more than once, you could assert.

The plot is observed from the perspective of Yuuri Katsuki, the protagonist, a Japanese figure skater who has attained national peaks. His first Grand Prix attempt, though, gave him a humiliating setback, and Yuuri’s collapse was very painful.

He returns to his homeland, where caring for relatives and friends welcome him. In addition, he finds himself very burdened with his feelings, even though, which accidentally takes a toll on his health.

Yuri On Ice Season 2: The Roles And The Storyline

Yuuri’s idol, and at the height of his career, was the Russian figure skating champion. He had been famous in the sport as a legend, having won multiple championships all over the world.

Though initially very reluctant, Yuuri is not able to deny the charms of the foreigner and embraces Victor as his new mentor, choreographer, and companion.

We are also introduced to another top Russian figure skater, Yuri Plisetsky, who has the same trainer as Victor. Yuri P. is always mad and upset to see Victor devoting his time to someone else instead of his junior, even younger old and just starting his preferred profession, and he takes his frustration out on Yuuri by always provoking and attempting to one-up him.

Many episodes in the anime are concentrated on the championships in which Yuuri takes part, and melodious tunes and mind-boggling choreography match the stressful position, and of course the burgeoning relationship between Yuuri and Victor. The fact that they are both falling for each other is remembered in many scenes.

Victor also includes a habit of consolidating his private and professional ideas. Fortunately, this is a good thing because the shy and silent attitude of Yuuri certainly would not have allowed him to admit his feelings to himself.

Yuri and Victor are seen to possess subtly matched rings at the end of the first season. A suggestion of the fact that or at least as a recognition of the partnership, they’ve agreed to have married.

This nuanced and manageable approach to same-sex associations is different from that which is normally found in Yaoi productions.

For this very reason, the anime has obtained a great deal of praise and created it perfect for a large variety of audiences. Remember how I mentioned a few phrases before, “the first season”?

You may be wondering why, since only one season remains. Yeah, this is only because a two-part depiction was always meant to be the storyline. The next season was scheduled to come out in 2019, but for reasons unexplained, it had been postponed.

But you can imagine how thrilled viewers were when news of the second season spread across the net in mid-September 2020, or a unique feature movie called”Ice Adolescence.”

Fans expect it to reveal more about the relationship between Yuuri and Victor, along with the change from the feelings of Yuri P against Yuuri K. We should also expect a portion of this narrative to be centered on the complexities caused by Victor and Yuuri competing against each other in their relationship.

There are not much detail about it at this point, though, other than a very questionable short movie trailer, and alas, we are going to need to wait until mid-2021 or, maybe, 2022.
