After reaching New Delhi you can take a bus to reach Dehradun which is 260 Km from the capital. Once the visitors reach Dehradun, you can take a bus to Kedarnath. The choices of the bus are abundant you can take A/C sleeper bus non-A/C sleeper bus, semi sleeper bus. Visitors can even take buses from Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Kotdwar. There is no railway station at Kedarnath because of the change in weather and heavy snowfalls. However, the nearest railway station is Rishikesh which is (215 km), Haridwar (241 km), Dehradun(257 km), and Kotdwar(246 km). After reaching these stations the visitors have to book a pre-paid taxi and have to travel 207 km by road and then 14 km on foot.

By Air

Kedarnath doesn’t have an airport just like trains, the only airport that is nearest to Kedarnath is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. Located about 250 km from Kedarnath. It is the only airport to reach Kedarnath and is connected to major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. There are, many flights that are operating in this airport, and once you reach Dehradun you can hire a cab and reach Kedarnath or even travel by bus.

Best time to visit Kedarnath: The best time to visit  Kedarnath in Summer is from April to June. In this month, the weather is very moderate and soothing and the temperature ranges from 15- 30 degrees Celsius. And is the best escape from the summer heat.
