Kedarnath is a place that is considered sacred for the Hindu religion. One of the four Chardhams, with a history rich in culture and religion. It is a town in Uttarakhand.  An ancient holy and religious place famous because of Kedarnath Temple. Located near the head of Mandakini River with a height of Astonishing 3584 meters.  The place and the temple are dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Summer Season

To escape the heat of the place you stay . Summer probably is the best time to visit Kedarnath. Spring and summer season after a harsh and rough winter is the best time. When beautiful flowers will bloom in the valley and there is not much snowfall. And will more likely see the beautiful mountains. Summer month from April to June is the best time to visit Kedarnath without any hassle.. This weather is soothing and warm and is not that cold as it is in the winter season. However, it’s cozy and warm but it might get chilly because rainfall is very uncertain. It is important that the visitors carry warm clothes even during summer.  The temperature in this season is  15 to 30 degrees Celsius which is the ideal time for traveling. Monsoon Season

The monsoon in Kedarnath most likely takes place in the month of  July to August. The rainfall in this area is very heavy after which the harsh winter season arrives.  Because of high mountains and altitudes, there are chances of landslides, earthquakes, floods, heavy rainfall. This makes the monsoon season, not the ideal season for traveling to Kedarnath.  The weather at Kedarnath is very uncertain. The temperature in this season drops to 12 degrees Celsius. Winter Season

The Winter season begins in the month of November and lasts till March. During this month there are heavy snowfalls and the temperature even drops to  0 degrees Celsius. This season is the harshest season that Kedarnath faces. The Kedarnath is closed in this season for tourists. Even the locals of Kedarnath don’t stay, basically, the whole town is empty in this season. Kedarnath’s climate is very much unpredictable in this season. The gates of the popular temple of Kedarnath i.e., Kedarnath temples are closed and reopen again in spring during the Hindu festival of Akshaya Tritiya.

Therefore it is advisable that before you plan your trip to Kedarnath remember to check the weather, temple opening season, temperature,  availability of vehicles. The visitors must always carry a first-aid kit with basic medicine for cold, fever, cough and also must keep in mind the corona guidelines issued by the state.

Summers from April to June are the best time to visit Kedarnath temple. These months are also the best time to visit the Badrinath temple.
