The Kerala Story is this Year’s Most Profitable Film, Beating Out Pathaan and Jawan

For Bollywood, 2023 has been an amazing year. Even though Jawan and Pathaan starred in several successful blockbuster films this year. Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s “The Kerala Story” is this year’s most profitable film. The movie had a modest budget, altered the nature of the entertainment industry’s business dynamics, and proved its worth at the box office, propelling it to the top. Featuring Adah Sharma, The Kerala Story emerges without a doubt the biggest Bollywood blockbuster of 2023. Thirty times the amount it made on its first day. The movie made 250 crores, after opening with 8.03 crores on its first day in India. It is the greatest hit movie ever made, following Jai Santoshi Maa (1975).

Recently, the film tackled the delicate topic of coerced religious conversion and added another feather to its already colorful cap. “The Kerala Story” will premiere on the big screen at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa in 2023. On November 27 at 4:30 PM, TKS will be shown at Goa’s INOX Screen-II. The movie will be screened at IFFI 2023 alongside several esteemed foreign films from around the globe.

A compelling drama that explores Kerala’s complex lives and culture is called The Kerala Story. The film, which is helmed by the well-known director Sudipto Sen, aims to transport viewers on an engrossing journey about three women from Kerala, a state in southern India, who, after being converted, are seduced into joining the Islamic State (IS).

In addition, The Kerala Story has 238.27 crores, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has 86 crores, OMG 2 has 150 crores. But Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has 153.30 crores. 525.50 crores are possessed by Gadar 2, 95.54 crores by Fukrey 3, 105 crores by Dream Girl 2, 543.22 crores by Pathaan, 146 crores by Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, and Satyaprem Ki Katha has 80.35 crores, and Jawan has — all of these are Bollywood films ranked according to the number of times they multiplied their opening day collection into lifetime run in 2023.
