Netflix is known for coming out with various shows for our audiences every season. The majority of them tend to take a similar take of a teenage romance, but here we have something very unique and interesting. The Irregulars is a coming crime drama TV series based on the world created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The story is based on a group of teens who reside in Baker Street. These children are called the Irregulars, who often are known for hunting clues for Sherlock Holmes. This series has a different take to the story where Sherlock Holmes was a drug addict and a delinquent. The Irregulars would work with Dr. Watson to solve supernatural mysteries in the streets of London, the charge for which can be taken by Sherlock Holmes.
Tom Budwell, the one who helmed Netflix’s Watership Down, is the creator of the show. ‘The Irregulars’ was a really old idea of Tom Bidwell which became his dream project. He pictured quite an exceptional spin-off that takes a different viewpoint at the connection between Holmes and the Irregulars. The story primarily occurs in Baker Street in Victorian London. Here, there are quite a few supernatural elements that appear to be causing havoc.
The Irregulars Season 1 teaser trailer has been released on 22nd February 2021. This series is going to be an eight-episode series which will premiere on Netflix on 26th March 2021.
The Irregulars Season 2 Rumored Renewal
Netflix was rumoured to have already planned The Irregulars Season 2 before its Season 1 premiere. Netflix seems to be confident in its spin-off Sherlock Holmes series. Season 2 was postponed and eventually resumed production as filming was obtained wrapped between August and September 2020. And if resources are right, the creation for The Irregulars Season 2 is set to start filming in Liverpool, United Kingdom in summer 2021. Much like The Irregulars Season 1, Season 2 will also be made by Tom Bidwell. He is to be joined by Greg Brennan, Jude Liknaitzky, Michael Ray, and Rebecca Hodgson as the productions.

As of now, Netflix has not officially declared The Irregulars Season 2, but we can expect it to be announced shortly after the release of Season 1. This is not the first time that Netflix has decided to revive a series before the release of the primary season. The Irregulars would be the first in the line of this Sherlock Holmes spin-off world-class. Another project which is soon set to come would be a featured film called, Sherlock Junior.
What is The Irregulars Season 2 Release Date?
The Irregulars Season 2 is defined to be released sometime in summer 2022. If reports are to be considered true, the Irregulars Season 2 is set to start filming sometime around this summer. Considering that season 1 itself got postponed, it might just be the situation that the group has already started the pre-production for The Irregulars Season 2. Formerly, a series would take just a year or a bit more. But now, on account of the pandemic restrictions, productions tend to take longer. So, this might even push the release date further to Fall 2022. But, if everything were to go as intended, The Irregulars Season 2 should come out by summer 2022.
Cast
This eight-episode series seems to be a professional in Netflix’s hands since they are confident enough to put money into the long-term cast plans for the show. The Irregulars is filled with British talent on and off the screen, and much as the season two cast isn’t shown, here we’ve got The Irregulars Season 1 cast.
