Sukumar Struggles To Convince The Actors For The Scene In Rangasthalam

Rangasthalam is an Indian – Telugu movie that crossed over 200 crores at the global box office and showed up as the biggest and epic blockbuster movie of the famous actor Ram Charan and has given an uplift to his career. Rangasthalam was 2018’s most loved and hit movie.

Ramcharan’s performance as a lead actor in the movie was appreciated and applauded by fans, as he portraited a character that was very unusual and unorthodox in this action drama movie. But the main limelight of the movie was the sizzling and cute chemistry of Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. What actually made the viewers and fans go awestruck was the kissing scene of the movie. While the sizzling kissing scene became a hot topic, there was a lot of effort put in by Sukumar to convince both the actors for the scene.

According to sources the director already had a kissing scene in his mind and tried to convince the lead actor Ram Charan by narrating him the whole script and the scenes, unfortunately, the kissing scene didn’t go hand in hand with Ram Charan. Although Sukumar nodded his head and agreed with the actor, but still wanted a kissing scene in the film. The reason Ram Charan gave for the disagreement of the scene was very genuine that the scene Sukumar is demanding of will not go well with his wife Upasana kamineni.

Considering the reason, Sukumar thought about dropping the idea although back in mind he eagerly wanted a lip-lock scene. But later after he convinced Ram Charan that he doesn’t need to kiss Samantha, but instead he just had to get closer to the heroine and the rest will be done by VFX and technology. Finally, Ram Charan agreed to this idea, and Sukumar finally got calm. Surprisingly later on as confirmed by the sources when the actual shoot started, the lead actor Ram Charan actually ended up kissing Samantha. Although after the film was released Samantha cleared to all viewers and fans and especially paparazzi that they didn’t have a lip lock while shooting instead it was just a peck on the cheek.

Rangasthalam was a great movie and was considered as ” 25th Greatest Telugu Films of the decade ” by Film Companion. The film featured many other stars along with Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Stars like Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Naresh, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in crucial roles, and were produced by Y. Naveen, Y. Ravi Shankar, and C. V. Mohan for the company Mythri Movie Makers. The film was started with a budget of rupees sixty(60) crores, and after release, it ended up crossing rupees two hundred (200) crores, to be specific two hundred sixteen crores.

Rangasthalam is a movie set in the nominative imaginary village in the 1980s. The movie tells a story about two brothers Chittibabu played by Ram Charan and Kumar Babu played by Pinisetty who are in opposition to the village’s local government and the society which is lead by its president Phanindra Bhupati.
