Stranger Things celebrity Gaten Matarazzo has opened up about the one big difference between filming season four and the Netflix series’s previous installments. The cast, who frolic  Dustin Henderson in the hugely popular sci-fi series, revealed that due to production schedules, he and the rest of the cast and crew typically start shooting each chapter before showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer have finished writing all of the episodes for this season.

In the most recent Stranger Things season, nevertheless, that the Duffer Brothers have managed to complete writing the entirety of season 4 before manufacturing on the episodes started, thanks to the production break caused by the pandemic. Speaking to Collider recently, Gaten explained that Stranger Things starts generally filming only five or six episodes composed, and the show is going to take a couple of weeks’ break afterward in the production program while the Duffer Brothers begin”non-stop dread writing”.

Not this time though, as the delays brought about by the worldwide pandemic have meant that they have had”no excuse” to not have the season completed.

“When we proceed in for our first table read which was February of 2020 we expected to go right into filming and it was gonna be the same situation, they had been gonna begin with episodes all the way up through 5 and we were probably gonna do exactly the identical hiatus, however, COVID struck and we just had like six episodes and so they were like,’ We might as well finish’,” Gaten described. With manufacturing on season 4 now back up and running and the whole season is already written, Gaten added that it’s made a big difference on the place since the Duffer Brothers are currently only focusing on directing.

“I think they have managed to enjoy in directing in their daily,” he continued. “There is nothing else deflect them other than that which we’re gonna do today while we are directing.

“I query them, ‘Can you guys sleep at night?’ They’re like,’ Literally, we dream of directing this series. We go to sleep and we’ve got dreams that we are just directing this show’ it requires up their entire minds when they’re making this.

“Therefore I think that it’s a fantastic thing because now they can take their attention from what the show is going to be around, and just concentrate on how they’re going to deliver. And I think it shows.” Having to muffle its Lithuanian leg back in February 2020  that will presumably concentrate on David Harbour’s Jim Hopper after he had been kidnapped by the Russian office Netflix was made to postpone production in the US due to COVID-19.

Filming finally Stranger Things again started in Georgia in September 2020, with many cast members including Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin), and newbie Levon Thurman-Hawke being seen on set. In terms of when filming will probably finish and when the new episodes will finally premiere that’s still up in the air.

“There are very few dates which are reliable,” Gaten explained. “It actually is more of an assessment on if we’re gonna be filming next, when we’re gone be wrapping up when the launch is gonna be, all that jazz because we don’t know on daily if we’re gonna be filming weekly.

“I must be filming for a bigger chunk than I’ve had in a bit, but even though it is forthcoming up in about two weeks from now I don’t know an exact date. So because of that, there’s actually no way to determine when we’re gonna be wrapping.” Keep visiting us to know more about Stranger Things.
