Stranger Things Season 4: Release Date, Cast, Plot And All Updates

While their lots of big Netflix shows coming to Netflix in 2021, Stranger Things season 4 could be the most highly anticipated Netflix first series of all of them.

Fans have been waiting and waiting for Stranger Things season 4 because of the conclusion of Stranger Things season 3.

Because there’s been a lot of confusion about Stranger Things season 4, even if it’s happening when it is filming, and when the release date might be, we put together this small guide to help keep fans in the loop.

Below, we shared what we know up to now about the Stranger Things season 4 release date, renewal, and production schedule.

Will there be a season 4 of Stranger Things?

Contrary to what you might read on social networking, Stranger Things season 4 is occurring. The fourth season was expected before the release of Stranger Things season 3 in July 2019, then it had been formally arranged and declared in September 2019.

Since then, there’s been a good deal of confusion about the new season due to the coronavirus pandemic as well as the manufacturing shutdown, which occurred in March 2020. It appears some fans thought that meant the season was canceled, but in fact, it meant that this season was postponed.

Thus, Stranger Things season 4 is from the works and big things are happening!

When is Stranger Things season 4 filming?

Stranger Things season 4 began filming in Lithuania at the start of 2020. After a month or so of filming there, the production transferred back into its normal home base in Georgia. That is where the first three seasons of the show were filmed.

As mentioned, the production closed down in March 2020. It was postponed until the fall of 2020, and then creation has gone slower than usual since then, based on star Gaten Matarazzo.

There is no telling just how long Stranger Things season 4 will maintain creation. We’re hoping production will wrap sometime this spring, but that is just speculation now.

A new cast member for season 4, Sherman Augustus responded to a question on Instagram and stated they may be filming until August. We don’t know if he was joking, serious, speculating, or not.

There have been reports and rumors which Stranger Things is moving to New Mexico to film the remainder of the season as soon as they wrap in Georgia, however, we do not know when exactly that will begin. Probably, it will be sometime this spring, however.

There’s been no confirmation on how long Stranger Things season 4 will soon be filming. We’ll allow you to know when production is winding down.

The pandemic puts Stranger Things season 4 premiere date into question

It is safe to presume that like other shows and movies, Stranger Things will need to tweak a few of the scripts to make scenes safer, and that needs more time. The group will also have to think about how a whole year of expansion because of its youthful cast members could impact the season’s continuity, which could result in re-shoots of earlier material.

Stranger Things was in the first phases of production when it had been forced to shut down, therefore there’s more filming that needs to be performed before the series can move into postsecondary. At that point, a release date will be announced.

The Netflix model of releasing entire seasons of its series is hurting the release of Stranger Things season 4 since it forces the crew to get the entire season done until it can be released. Shows that are on a weekly release program can work to a more relaxed schedule where post-production can take place on episodes later in the time while the series airs.

The bottom line is it is going to be a while before Stranger Things season 4 arrives on Netflix, so now is a fantastic time to catch up on the first 3 seasons while we wait patiently.
