Smartphone For Snapdragon Insiders’ Unveiled By Qualcomm: Price and Specifications

It is very unlikely for chipset manufacturers to step into smartphone manufacturing but Qualcomm has stepped into that segment. The latest flagship from Qualcomm (more likely the only flagship from Qualcomm) comes with the most jaw-dropping specifications you will see on any smartphone to date. Qualcomm surely went overboard with component integration much like Sony Xperia smartphones of recent years. Qualcomm sought the help of

Asus to make this smartphone possible that displays the prowess of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors in each section of the smartphone.

Qualcomm Smartphone Specifications

The phone by Qualcomm features the top-of-the-line SoC, the Snapdragon 888 with a single configuration option of 16 GB RAM and 512 GB onboard storage. The smartphone features a Full HD+ display with (1,080×2,448 pixels) on a 6.78 AMOLED display by Samsung. Even the peak brightness is capped at 1200 nits with a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. The display is HDR 10 and HDR 10+ certified with Gorilla glass Victus protection.

The Qualcomm smartphone uses a triple camera array on the backside with OIS present in both the primary and the ultra-wide sensor. Qualcomm’s Spectra 580 image signal processor is also bundled that enables 4K and 8K video recording. It also sports the Snapdragon X60 5G modem that supports all the 5G sub-6 and mm-wave bands along with Qualcomm Signal Boost technology.

The Qualcomm smartphone clarifies the usage of the Snapdragon 888 processor instead of the latest 888+ because of the development cycle that began last year. The 888+ chipset was announced this month so it was impossible to fit and tweak it into the flagship phone.

Qualcomm smartphone pricing

The smartphone isn’t cheap and demands 1499 USD for the retail unit. Although, it bundles ANC TWS earbuds that are also top of the line in terms of audio fidelity. Its availability in India is guaranteed after it ships to major markets of the UK, USA, Europe, etc. The Indian pricing may vary from the labeled pricing of 1500 USD so keep in mind if you are planning to set aside funds for this flagship monster.
