As a result of its progressive attitude, brilliant characters, and, well, Gillian Anderson, it’s safe to say we are obsessed with Netflix’s sex Education. We lapped up the first show, desperately sneaked to the release of this second season, and now we’re ecstatic that a third installment is on the way!
This is everything we understand about Sex Education Season 3, from release date to potential storylines and trailers and teaser pics.
As of January 2021, Netflix is presently filming season three in Wales, so with any luck, we’ll be seeing it on our screens in late 2021 or ancient 2022. Netflix also supported the return of several cast members including Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, and Ncuti Gatwa, who play Otis, Jean, Maeve, and Eric respectively.
There is no uncertainty Asa Butterfield will return as Otis Milburn; alongside his best friend Eric, played by Ncuti Gatwa, and will-they-won’t-they’ love attention, Emma Mackey’s Maeve. Gillian Anderson’s fan-favorite turn as Otis’ mother, Dr. Jean Milburn, is expected to return as well.
The Majority of the cast should also return for around three, including Adam (Connor Swindells), Ola (Patricia Allison), Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood), Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling), Lily (Tanya Reynolds), Rahim (Sami Outalbali), Olivia (Simone Ashley), Ruby (Mimi Keene), Anwar (Chanel Kular), Viv (Chinenye Ezeudu), Steve (Chris Jenks), Miss Sands (Rakhee Thakrar), Mr. Hendricks (Jim Howick) Jakob (Mikael Persbrandt), Mr. Groff (Alistair Petrie) and Maureen Groff (Samantha Spiro), Amongst Others.
None of that is confirmed yet, but all the preceding’s character arcs have been abandoned in unfinished places. We need answers, Netflix!
Asa, who performs the show’s main character, Otis, opened up about what to anticipate in the upcoming show, also revealed that there’s a time leap from the final moments of season two. He explained: “Otis is back at school but he has different things on his plate. He’s grown up a bit and become slightly sassier. It’s been fun to portray his newfound charm. Don’t worry, though, he is still structurally awkward also.”
