Riverdale season 4 was forced to end early due to the coronavirus, so fans are waiting for the fifth installment like May water. TVLine has gone ahead and exclusively published the first look at the new episodes, where we see the protagonists ready to take the big step into the adult world.
Thus we find that Riverdale High is celebrating its prom, an event that was planned for the fourth season and that has had to be postponed until the new batch of episodes. In the images we see Archie ( KJ Apa ) and Veronica ( Camila Mendes ) sharing a beautiful moment in the middle of the track. Also appear Cheryl ( Madelaine Petsch ) and Toni ( Vanessa Morgan ) in a romantic hug, Kevin ( Casey Cott ) surrounding Fangs ( Drew Ray Tanner ) with his arm and making a toast with the group of friends.
However, the plot will soon leave the corridors of the institute behind, since, as they warned a few months ago, there will be a jump in time of up to seven years. Suddenly we will meet the protagonists in a life very different from the one they lead now, but that does not mean that mysteries of the past will not resurface. As we saw in the mysterious poster published at the end of November, it seems that someone we had left for dead is going to return.
And what about the plots that were left open in the previous season? The creator has ensured that Riverdale will start where it left off to respond to everything that has remained in the air. Riverdale season 5 opens on January 20 on The CW, in Spain it will come from the hand of Movistar +. In the new batch of episodes, we will see if the scriptwriters have decided to resurrect any of their characters. There are plenty of betting options, but Jason Blossom, Cheryl’s brother, is a name many have in mind.
