Sunak is the first South Asian-born Prime Minister in history. His mother is from Kenya, Tanzania, and his father is from Punjab, India. The cultural mix helps him here. Rishi Sunak’s parents moved to the United Kingdom in 1960. His parents both worked in the medical field. His father worked for the National Health Service, and his mother ran a pharmacy.

Rishi Sunak married UK-based Indian designer Akshata Murty, the daughter of Infosys founder Narayan Murthy. Rishi is the first Prime Minister from the Yorkshire constituency. He is also the first millennial to enter Downing Street. Rushi and Akshata could earn up to $730 million combined in 2022.
Rishi Sunak is an immigrant’s son
His parents, both of Indian origin, immigrated to the UK from East Africa. Mr. Sunak was born in Southampton in 1980, to a GP father and a pharmacist mother. He attended the boarding school Winchester College before studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford and Business at Stanford in the United States. He is now the country’s first Asian prime minister.
