Rana Naidu is an adaptation of the American collection by Ray Donovan by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Varma for India. The real-life Uncle and nephew Venkekatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati, Telegu actors come together on one platform. Playing the role of father and son, both bring out various aspects of life and relationships in the series.
In the first two episodes, we can see the introduction of his family. He has his wife “Naina”, and their children “Ani” and “Nitya”. Rana also has an older brother “Tej”, and a younger brother “Jaffa”. The family shows to carry some good outward appearance but inside there is always some beef happening. When “Naga Naidu” who is the father of Rana Naidu comes out of jail early, his life starts to get chaotic.
Background of the story
Rana Naidu is always an expert at solving problems with the help of his team “Lara” and “Srini”. Whether it be retrieving stolen semen or someone’s girlfriend having an affair. It’s only a matter of time before Rana and his team finds it out. One of Rana’s brothers, “Tej” is a stunt coordinator, while the other, “Jaffa” is a recovering alcoholic with a painful past. Rana Naidu and his family were not living a perfect life but when they move to Mumbai from Hyderabad, things starts to get pretty fine. Although is a fixer but his own life is a mess with problems that are unfixable. Every character in this series is dealing with their own agony.

Climax
Rana and his family were living a pretty good life after coming to Mumbai. But when “Naga Naidu” returns from jail, the lives of Rana and his family members turn upside down. “Naga Naidu” is the father of Rana and was in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Naga after coming out of jail, wants to mend his broken relationships with his sons, especially Rana. But the truth is Rana just can’t stand his father, who is a foul-mouthed man and a womanizer.
As Rana accepts his next task of solving the issues for the minister “OB Mahajan” and other issues related to the action movie star “Prince Reddy”, his personal life slowly unravels. The main plot twist in the story starts to reveal itself in the fifth episode.

The ten-long episode series of Rana Naidu goes through the ups and down in the lives of all the characters. The dramatic action family drama shifts the subject of focus from the main character of Rana Naidu to other sub-characters in the play. The most traumatizing could be how Rana’s brother “Jaffa” opens up about his old past traumatic experience of sexual abuse by a priest.
The story also revolves around a father-son relationship. Rana is always holding a grudge against his father Naga Naidu who was mostly absent during his childhood. At the same time, Naga realizes the mistake of not being available for his sons. But when he tries to get things back to normal, nothing goes out the way it seems. This creates a rivalry between a father and a son.
Altogether, this story is a mix of family drama and plot twists of characters including dark crime with scenes of sex, nudity, and foul language. Rana Naidu is a must-watch for all action and drama lovers. This web series already holds the top spot in the Netflix top 10 charts.
