The long-awaited Ponniyin Selvani trailer has finally arrived. The movie’s creators released the trailer At a lavish audio launch event on Tuesday in Chenna. There are many larger-than-life frames throughout the three-plus minute lengthy video. The trailor giving us a peek of the vast visuals and breathtaking production that are comparable to big-budget Hollywood movies.
Starring Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, and R Parthiban, the movie is rumoured to be Ratnam’s most ambitious endeavour to date.
A grand scene is promised in the PS1 trailer. The movie gives viewers a sneak peek into a story about battle, love, and betrayal that is full of extravagant and magnificent set pieces. The main characters of this story are also introduced in the trailer, including Vikram as Aditya, Jayam Ravi as the ambitious Arunmozhi Varman, Trisha as Kundavai, and Aishwarya Rai as Nandini, who appears to be acting with ulterior reasons.

The romance between Aditya (Vikram) and Nandini is perhaps what inspired the movie (Aishwarya). Aditya, played by Vikram, can be seen yearning for his love in the teaser. Aditya states in the teaser, “The wine, the song, the blood, and the conflict, everything is present there”.
Ponniyin Selvan 1 will hit screens on September 30 in five languages—Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The celebrated five-volume work Ponniyin Selvan by author Kalki Krishnamurthy is the inspiration for the film. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes her long-overdue comeback to the big screen with this movie.
A two-part movie series will begin with PS1. The soundtrack for the movies is being composed by renowned musician AR Rahman. Additionally playing significant roles in the movie are Ashwin Kakumanu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Rahman, Lal, Jayachitra, and Riyaz Khan.
