The sixth season of ‘ Outlander ‘ is on its way, although it is taking longer than expected to begin filming due to the spread of COVID-19 in the United Kingdom. Still, to the delight of fans, the new adventures of Claire ( Caitriona Balfe ) and Jamie ( Sam Heughan ) are getting closer and closer, and as they begin to advance, it will be full of changes and surprises.

Based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon , ‘Outlander’ is still a phenomenon. If there is something complicated in a series that has already accumulated five seasons, and another on the way, it is to continue to advance its protagonists in a satisfactory way and to find new and exciting aspects of their history and their personality. The success of ‘Outlander’ lies in its ability to reinvent itself without losing its essence , and we will see it again in the new episodes. At least, this is what one of its main protagonists assures.

In an interview with Parade , Heughan advanced that the next season will show a face of his character that we have not seen until now. “There’s something that surprises you, in every season, in every episode, there’s always something you don’t expect. And I say, ‘Okay, this is what Jamie is going to do, this is him.’ And actually, this season From what I’ve seen of the scripts, I’m excited because I think there’s another side to him that we haven’t seen before . ”

We will have to wait to see where the character progresses, but perhaps there is another question even more important and that the actor has also answered in the interview: How will ‘Outlander’ deal with COVID-19 being a series where the contact between the actors is essential? “It doesn’t matter if it’s an intimate scene or a normal scene, we’re going to stay in touch, so I think we’ll be in our own bubble. It won’t just be the actors, but also our core team, hair and makeup. You literally can’t do the I work without having everyone around you. I know we have a strict set of rules and it will take a while to get used to, but we will be safe . We are getting tested, we have masks, it is going to be a really safe place. “
