Are you a fan of Lucifer? The fantasy show, that follows Lucifer AKA the devil who abandons Hell for a career fighting crime in Los Angeles, has been a hit with viewers since it debuted in 2016 but will soon come to a close with its sixth and final season.
When Will Lucifer Season 6 Be Released?
We have to be honest with you here, the Lucifer gang are pretty hush-hush about timings. As you probably know, we are still awaiting an official launch date for the next half of year five BUT we know they have been busy filming the finale.
Actor Tom Ellis shared with an upgrade at the end of August about the Pilot TV podcast, telling lovers of this TV show:
“The second eight episodes, I’m not sure when they’re going to fall because we’ve still got the finale [to shoot]. We were about halfway through it. We return, we start with that, and then we go into season six.
“So hopefully that’ll be ready to go, I would imagine, sort of Christmas time or early next year”
With that in mind, we guess Lucifer Season 6 will probably air towards the end of the year. According to TV Line, there’ll be 10 episodes in the last series.

Lucifer Season 6 Plot
The plot of Season six stays firmly under wraps, for now, however showrunners Joe Henderson and Idly Modrovich have shown that having the extra episodes has given them the chance to”really explore how our personalities end up where they ended up”.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Joe said: “It’s the story we’re constantly likely to tell, but only written considerably bigger and to me so much more. It breaks my heart to think we weren’t going to get it done this way”
The writing team behind the series has also been keeping’Lucifans’ entertained during the midseason hiatus by teasing forthcoming episode names on the official Lucifer Writer’s Room Twitter account.
Their latest clue revealed that the penultimate episode will be title goodbye,” Lucifer’, which has – very understandably – delivered viewers to a spin. “I’m not prepared!!” 1 fan tweeted in response.
