Alia Bhatt opened up about staying away from her daughter Raha due to the Met Gala in her very recent interview with Vogue.
At the Met Gala, one of the most awaited and popular fashion events, Alia Bhatt wore Prabal Gurung’s gorgeous white gown on her debut. The outfit was adorned with hundreds of pearls and featured a spectacular train. Alia also revealed in a behind-the-scenes video shared by Vogue that she had been apart from Raha Kapoor, her daughter, for the longest period of time since traveling to New York for the event.
Alia also stated that she had been away from Raha for only one day before this and now it had been almost four days. Alia shared how she ensured to remain connected with her daughter by video calling her as soon as she woke up in the morning. The actor recently opened up about dealing with “mom guilt” while juggling work and her child in an interview with Vogue India. She voiced concern over whether or not what she was doing was best for her child and her profession. Alia also discussed the outmoded notion that new mothers must give up their careers in order to be viewed as good mothers as well as the pressure society places on women to achieve in both positions.
Alia Bhatt tied the knot with actor Ranbir Kapoor in April last year and gave birth to their daughter Raha in November. Despite being a new mom, Alia remained active in the industry and resumed work soon after her baby’s arrival. She recently won a Filmfare award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi and was last seen in Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva with Ranbir Kapoor. Her next project is Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh, set to release in July. Alia is also preparing for her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone, co-starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. Moreover, she is part of Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming project Jee Le Zaraa, which also features Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif, and is expected to start filming this year.
