After nineteen long months of waiting, the second season of Love Alarm has been and gone. However, with the next season now over, it begs the question of whether a third season is happening. We’re still waiting for verification from Netflix, but it is up for discussion on whether or not Love Alarm is returning for season 3.
Love Alarm is a Netflix Original amorous K-Drama Depending on the webtoon of the same name by writer Chon Kye-Young. The show became the fourth complete Netflix Original series from South Korea and is arguably only second in popularity to zombie-horror series Kingdom.
Love Alarm Season 3 Netflix Renewal Status
To no one’s surprise, Netflix has not declared if Love Alarm will probably be returning for another season. For the time being, Netflix could be forgiven as the next season only just acquired lately.
Renewal can take several days or up to several months until we learn whether or not an Original has been renewed.

Does Love Alarm need to return for a third season?
There is no denying that fans would love to see more of Love Alarm. However, does the series require a third time? We can assert the case for the two sides.
No Love Alarm shouldn’t return
On the other hand of things, you could assert that Love Alarm ended on a positive note, Jojo and Hye Young finally come together as a couple, with all their Love Alarms ringing for every other. Meanwhile, Sun Oh has feelings for Jojo but is persisting with his new relationship with girlfriend Yook Jo, determined that one day he’ll ring her Love Alarm.
Yes Love Alarm should return
A third season could learn more about the connections between our new respective couples. Despite Hye Young’s alert for Jojo, she still ponders the notion of whether or not she’d have rung his Love Alarm without the use of the shield. Regardless, the set loves each other, however, Jojo’s insecurities concerning the shield can cause some tension in the connection.
As for Sun Oh, a third season could explore his developing relationship with Yook Jo. There’s also the fact that the webtoon where the series is based remains continuing.
In general, we’d be happy for either scenario. Sometimes things are better left unsaid, and abandon what remains to the audience’s imagination as not every question needs an answer. And, of course, in case a third season were to occur then great, more Love Alarm!
Love Alarm Season 3 Release Date
‘Love Alarm’ season 2 landed in its entirety on March 12, 2021, on Netflix. The second season comprises six episodes with a running time of 43-71 minutes each.
For season 3, this is what we understand. Currently, no statements have been made confirming the renewal or cancellation of a third setup. On the other hand, the second season ends on a conclusive note, instead of 1, which leaves some loose ends. Additionally, season 2 ends the way the webtoon does, meaning that the source material has already been covered. Thus, a third season appears to be improbable. K-Drama fans have to be aware that it is typical for Korean displays to not have multiple seasons –‘ When the Camellia Blooms,” Mr. Sunshine’ and vagabond are a few of the famous examples.
Looking at how the series has been one of the most popular displays from South Korea, it will not come as a surprise if the fans petition for another season. After all, that was a fact for a different South Korean show titled ‘Crash Landing on You.’ Some fans also have taken to social websites to express their dissatisfaction with the way the next season of love Alarm’ ends. Should the tide of answers be large enough to capture Netflix’s attention, we might observe another season being ordered by the community.
Season 2 reportedly finished filming in June 2020 but just released in March 2021. This was probably due to delays in the post, provided that editors worldwide had to come up with innovative ways to work together through the pandemic. The production for season 3 shouldn’t face these problems in the event the show is renewed for the third time. Therefore, if the show meets Netflix’s renewal criteria and is recommissioned at the end of summer 2021, we can expect love Alarm‘ season 3 to launch sometime in 2022 or later.
