The first glimpse of the iconic film The Matrix Resurrection is finally out and fans are going gaga over it. the Maxtrix was a huge success and was one of the kind. Keanu Reeves is one of the main leads of the film.  The first Matrix movie intrigued the audience with its mind-blowing visuals and detailed science fiction and Keanu Reeves came out as a starter after the release of the film.

The films story somewhat revolves around him. As he himself is so into the film Reeves reportedly re-routed millions of dollars of profit-sharing back into Matrix 2 and 3. 

The Matrix Resurrections is an upcoming American science fiction action film produced, co-written, and directed by Lana Wachowski. It is the sequel to “The Matrix Revolutions 2003 and serves as the fourth instalment in The Matrix series overall.

The film is a joint production by Village Roadshow picture and Venus Castina Productions and is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures theatrically on December 22, 2021; it will also stream digitally on the ad-free tier of the HBO Maxin the United States for a month beginning on that same date.

The Matrix trilogy was directed by Lily and Lana Wachowski has made over $1.2 billion worldwide. The second and the third films were released in 2003. The fourth Matrix film, the first to be directed by only one Wachowski Lana will be released in December. It also featured Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson, Yahya Abdul Mateen II, Jessica Hemwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci and many others.

Thr 2001 report states that in the Wall Street Journal, Keanu Reeves “doesn’t always seem motivated by money”. The report suggests that on many films he has literally handed over his part of his salary to other actors or crew.

The other instances of Keanu Reeves giving back his mother or rather sharing his money. When he offered to slash his salary in the 1996 film The Devil’s advocate when the co-star Al Pacino demanded more money. He did the same thing when Gene Hackman’s quote seemed out of Warner Brothers reach.

If we go by the report Keanu Reeves also gave up his share of  “back-end points’ for the Matrix sequels, which were filmed back-to-back in the early 2000s and funnelled them into the visual effects and costume department of the film.

He felt that they were the one who made the movie and that they should participate”, the report suggested ‘one executive familiar with the situation as saying. The actor also reportedly it is been said that made $10 million for the first Matrix film.

And after all of the things was said and done he in the end ended up making $35 million. Reeves profit-sharing deals for the sequels were higher, estimated to being between anywhere from $40 million to over $100 million respectively.

The Matrix star apparently is in a good mood to discuss its long-running industry story about him at a 2019 press conference ahead of the release of John Wick Chapter 3 Prabellum. He quickly quote by the Jakarta post as he said “I’d rather people didn’t know that. It was a private transaction. It was something I could afford to do, a worthwhile thing to do.”
