IIT-Madras establishes India’s first information incubators for start-ups

The Centre for Research on Startups and Risk Financing (CREST) at IIT Madras unveiled India’s first information hub on incubators and accelerators on Monday. The portal, developed in conjunction with YNOS, an IIT Madras fostered business. It will serve as a powerful collection of precise information including 920 incubators and accelerators.

The abundance of data will assist entrepreneurs in making informed decisions. This will provide insights into the various ecosystems of startup support accessible. A correct incubator has a substantial impact on a startup’s trajectory. This AI-powered platform, dubbed ‘Incubators,’ would assist business founders in locating and shortlisting incubators and accelerators across India. “It provides a comprehensive list of incubators in the country to which startup founders can reach out for incubation assistance.” It also gives information on many characteristics, which assists company founders in identifying incubators that meet their needs,” said Thillai Rajan, lead investigator of CREST and professor of management studies at IIT-Madras.

The platform will become India’s ecosystem

The platform was created utilizing cutting-edge technology to instantly analyze the incubator and accelerator ecosystem in India. The system includes straightforward filters on several incubator parameters to rapidly discover a set of incubators that meet various criteria for shortlisting. Additionally, users have the ability to bookmark a shortlisted incubator for deeper evaluation at a later point.
