The makers of the American drama TV show ‘Hunters’ have announced a new season for the same and will be up soon. This series has been created by David Weil and produced by Jerry Kupfer with the production companies Monkeypaw Productions &Sonar Entertainment. Hunters has received a fairly good reception from its viewers and the critics with an IMDB rating of 7.2. The show is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The Plot
In 1977, in New York, a Jewish wealthy businessman, Meyer Offerman, runs a secret group of Nazi hunters fighting a cabal of high-ranking Nazi officials who have assumed different identities in the city as they aim to create a Fourth Reich in the United States. The Nazis war criminals are running a relocation conspiracy called Operation paper clip, under which, Nazis are relocated from Germany to the U.S.

Jewish teen Jonah Heidelbaum, whose grandmother Ruth was recently murdered by a mysterious figure in cold blood meets Meyer Offerman and joins the hunters in tracking down high ranking Nazis in New York and murdering them. It is revealed later that Offerman was in the same concentration camp as Ruth and they had romance blooming between them. At the same time, a Nazi doctor named Wilhelm Zuchs “The Wolf” was obsessed with the two. He would torture and torment the couple. The show further reveals that Offerman is Johan’s grandfather and that he and Ruth has lost contact almost a year ago.
The show furthermore offers a major twist revealing that Meyer Offerman is Dr.Wilhelm Zuchs “The wolf”. He assumed the identity of Meyer Offerman after killing him and wrote a letter to Ruth about leaving her. Living life as a Jew man made him realize his guilt and hence, he started the Nazi hunters to achieve penance by killing guilty war criminals. Johan fumes and tells him that he is not worthy of penance and kills Dr.Wilhelm Zuchs.
The Release Date
The makers of the show had announced that the second season will be soon on the air in August 2020. As of now the official date of release has not been announced by amazon prime video.
