Hope Davis will appear in the next Year of Succession for a member of the Furness family. The HBO satirical drama follows the members of their immoral Roy family and their media conglomerate Waystar Royko. Now it looks like crowds will find out more about a rival family to the Roys.
According to Deadline, Hope Davis will replicate as Sandi Furness, Sandy Furness’s daughter, who’s the owner of a rival media conglomerate. Davis is coming off appearing in the Showtime restricted series Your Honor, starring Bryan Cranston, and has starred in the previous series such as For The People and HBO’s In Treatment.
In the series, the family is always at odds with each other because of the firm directed by founder and patriarch Logan Roy, who has made many enemies throughout the sequence. Sandy Furness is a big one. Not a great deal is known about the Furness’ other than that their company supports a private-equity fund of a board member of Waystar Royko, who also happens to be a friend of their second son Kendall.

Succession’s next season finale watched Kendall moving against his dad Logan in what appears to be an extreme wrestle for electricity for the upcoming year based on the sly grin appearing on Logan Roy’s face as the previous shot. It wouldn’t be irrational for the Furness clan to become immensely involved in that battle. It will be fascinating to determine if and how they’ll be included and what Davis will bring into the series.
