Hocus Pocus 2: More Interesting Information About The Sequel

Fans of Hocus Pocus, the humour horror movie from 1993, are anxious to hear more about a sequel undertaking, known as Hocus Pocus 2.

It has been noted that Adam Shankman is directing the sequel, Hocus Pocus 2, for Disney Plus. Shankman is also slated to direct an Enchanted sequel for Disney Plus, branded Disenchanted.

So, it is happening, but all fans are wondering whether Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy will be reprising their much-loved functions as the three witches, known as the Sanderson sisters.

It seems like there’s a very good possibility Parker, Midler and Najimy could return for the sequel.

Andy Cohen, they could be coming back to Hocus Pocus 2, according to People. Here is Parker’s full quotation:

“I believe for a long time people were talking about it like folks we are moving forward with it at a true way but we were unaware of it, but I believe today we’ve gotten to the point where we’ve agreed publicly to the right people -‘ yes that would be a very very fun idea,’ so we’ll see what the future holds.”

So, it is to be seen exactly what role the first sisters will need to play in this sequel. The first is now quite the cult classic although it was not a box office hit. It’s often featured during the Halloween season on many of the Halloween film marathons.

For people who don’t know, the Sanderson sisters a trio of witches that live in Salem, Massachusetts, and were executed for witchcraft in 1693. They pledged to return to Salem 300 years into the future to exact their revenge. Fast forward 300 years, and newcomer to Salem, Max, is quite sceptical of this tale of the witch sisters. He lights the black flame candle that brings the witches back to life. Winifred (Midler), Sarah (Parker), and Mary (Najimy) are the three sisters who intend to cast a spell to make themselves immortal. A group of children with the help of a charming cat strategy to stop them.

People who played with the Sanderson sisters might not be the sole returnees for its sequel. Thora Birch, who played Dani from the first movie, is willing to reprise her character for the sequel.

Since the director was just recently declared, it doesn’t look like fans will get a release date for quite some time.
