Prabhas is an Indian actor, model who is best known for his role in Telugu films. He became an sensation and National crush after he did the movie Bahubali the first part was so hit that the director had to release the 2nd part before time. His full name is Prabhas Raju Uppalapati.
He is also the nephew of Tollywood star and politician Krishnam Raju Uppalapati.
Biography
He was born on 23 October 1979 in Madras Tamil Nadu. There family moved to Hyderabad because of his father was working in a Telugu film industry. When he was a kid he had no interest of becoming an actor. Although his was father was a producer and he was very close to Tollywood Glamour. Prabhas always wanted to be a businessman. But he could not resist himself from the glamour of the industry. And soon ended up entering g the Tollywood Industry.

The Tollywood star started his career in 2002 with Telugu film Eeshwar. After which he did 2-3 film in the same year. But his movies didn’t perform well. But in 2004 he rose to fame after being starred in M.S. Raju’s film, Varsham, opposite Trisha Krishnan. He was critically acclaimed for his performance in Chatrapathi in the tear 2005. The movie was directed by S.S. Rajamoulli. For his movie Billa (2009), he was appreciated for his Macho image. And than in 2014 came the biggest blockbuster of his career Bahubali: The Beginning.by director S. S. Rajamouli for which he devoted two years. It was the biggest risk he ever took for his career as he did not sign any other films in these two years. But he trusted himself and kept working hard and believed in the director. As a result of which the film became India’s third highest grossing film worldwide. Later he also appeared in Baahubali : The Conclusion in 2017 which became the second highest grossing film worldwide. With these two movies he gained a huge fan following all over the world. The film also won a National Award for the Best Film (2017).
Controversy
During the filming of Baahubali: The Beginning, there were rumours that his health condition deteriorated and he went into a coma after falling from a horse while doing a scene. However, the Bahubali team denied such rumours.
There were rumours about his relationship with Y. S. Sharmila, the sister of YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. But, he strongly denied that and following it, The Central Crime Station police arrested 2 persons for posting objectionable pictures and derogatory messages about the YSRCP leader and the actor on the internet.
