Does Gentefied Need A Second Season?
Most certainly. While the Morales family were busy observing the arrival of Erik’s newborn daughter, Delfina, who’s named after Erik’s grandma, Pop was in trouble, getting arrested for an outstanding fine by a vandalism charge from six months ago. In the very first episode of the show, Pop has been arrested for public urination and breaking a window, and following his bail out we never saw him return to court or pay a fine because of his activities. In the final moments, Erik recognized Pop was not there, only for us to watch the family patriarch being removed by ICE.
Without the knowledge of Pop being removed by ICE, the Morales family will probably be desperate to find him. They could get lucky and discover that the outstanding charges in Pop’s title, but he could nevertheless be deported from the nation. Despite being a business owner, Pop is an undocumented immigrant. Erik and Lidia’s dream future of moving to Palo Alto, California, might have to be put on hold until Pop has been brought home as well as the future of Mama Fina’s is protected.
Chris finally chose to devote his culinary abilities to Mama Fina’s, but his dad dropped a huge bombshell, offering Chris the opportunity to go to culinary school. With the ongoing chaos and uncertainty with the Morales, Chris might not be going to college anytime soon.
After a debate between on-and-off-again few Ana and Yessika, will the pair reunite in the next season? Yessika believed that rapping in a food festival would have catered to gentrifiers, but Ana was concerned with keeping Mama Fina’s alive.
Finally, the future of Mama Fina’s is in enormous danger after it was revealed that Vivian, an art connoisseur, intends to flip Mama Fina’s into a”theme pop-up food experience.”
What Is The Production Status Of Gentefied Season 2?
We have not learned from many sources that filming for Gentefied season 2 will start on February 8th, 2021. It’s currently unknown how long filming will survive.
On February 8th, 2021 as expected we got word that filming had begun on season 2 thanks to Netflix’s Con Todo account. Additionally, it affirmed that America Ferrera will be returning to the director’s chair for season 2.

When Is The Netflix Release Date For Gentefied Season 2?
Thanks to COVID-19 filming dates are pushed back for the series. With filming anticipated to start in Q1 of 2021, we can see Gentefied return to Netflix in overdue 2021 or early 2022.
