Celebrities these days are adopting a Vegetarian lifestyle more and more. Many Celebrities believe that it will be beneficial for them and also it will help guide the youngsters and adopt a vegan life.

Many are turning into vegetarian because they believe they have been harming the animals. And were cruel towards them. While many other celeb are inspired by others. On World Vegetarian Day that is celebrated on 1st October. We bring you the top celebs that have turn vegetarian. And accepting this healthy lifestyle.

1 Alia Bhatt

The first celebrity on our list is our Bubbly girl Alia Bhatt. She earlier revealed that she has adopted vegetarian lifestyle to stay healthy and fit. As per Cosmopolitan India, the actor had said, “It’s definitely because of the heat that I am staying off meat, and I’m beginning to enjoy my new diet. I never was a hardcore non-vegetarian anyway. As of now, I am a vegetarian, and I hope it will last.”

2 Anushka Sharma

One of the most stunning and intelligent actress of Bollywood. This diva turned into vegetarian lifestyle since 2018.She said, “Going vegetarian was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have more energy, I feel healthier, and I’m so happy that no animals had to suffer for my meals.”

3 Bhumi Pednekar

She is known for her stunning weight loss journey. Bhumi decided to go vegetarian for staying fit and young. For many years I had the want to go vegetarian but breaking habits are the toughest thing to do. My journey with Climate Warrior taught me a lot of things and I just didn’t feel like eating meat anymore.”

Bhumi added, “I was never heavy on non-vegetarian, but I took a call in the lockdown. It was actually something that happened organically. It’s been six months and I’m good, guilt-free and feel physically strong as well.”

4 Genelia Deshmukh

The beloved wife of Actor Ritesh Deshmukh and one of the loved actress. Genelia decided to go vegetarian and ditch meat. She also confessed that “Turning vegetarian was a choice I took a couple of years ago.. I honestly thought it was going to be really really tough but I was determined to make it work.. On my journey I realised the beauty of plants, the various colours I see through them and eventually the nutrients I get through them but most importantly I feel less cruel to animals…”

5 Ritesh Deshmukh

Just like his wife Ritesh also adopted the vegetarian lifestyle. And also very recently he even pledged to donate his organ. The actor said, “I have given up non-vegetarian food, black coffee and aerated drinks. I want to keep my body healthy. And eventually, when the time comes for donating my organs, people should say, ‘Jaate jaate healthy organs chhod kar gaya’ (he left healthy organs).”

6 Shahid Kapoor

The Kabir Singh of Bollywood is Know to change his lifestyle. After reading the book Life Is Fair by Brian Hines. He gave up non vegetarian food and completely adopted pure vegetarian lifestyle. It has been a decade since he turned into a vegan.

7 Shraddha Kapoor

Aashqui 2 fam star Shraddha turned into vegetarian in 2019. And since than she has been living a vegan lifestyle. While talking about the subject she had stated, “I think I am a smart eater. I love food, so I eat what I like. I love vada pav so I eat that too, but I also work out. Or else, in the night I may just have soup. But I can’t get too restrictive about my food as it’s an important part of my happiness.”

8 Richa Chadda

The rough and tough actress of Bollywood has been following the vegetarian lifestyle since 2014. Richa very recently discussed with Peta about going vegan. The actor said, “I wanted to be able to talk about it without sounding preachy. The whole concept of veganism stems from ‘live and let live’, so the idea is not to force people to convert to veganism. Food is connected with culture and nostalgia. But by speaking about it in a practical fashion, we are hoping that people give this a shot. They can start by becoming vegan a few days a week. Hopefully, 2020 will usher in a lot of changes in mindset.”
