This year’s Durga Puja theme: Vatican City at Sreebhumi pandal

Sujit Bose, West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services Minister and Sreebhumi Sporting Club president, stated in a media interview that while many people have heard of Vatican City in Rome, only a few have travelled abroad to see it. As a result, the theme will fulfil people’s desire to visit Vatican City.
He explained that the pandal took 60 days to create and complete with the assistance of over 100 artisans. Sreebhumi drew attention last year with their Burj Khalifa theme.

Durga Puja is one of India’s most celebrated and anticipated Hindu festivals. During which Goddess Durga is worshipped for nine days. The festival commemorates Goddess Durga’s victory over demon king Mahishasur on the 10th day of Dashmi and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Dussehra marks the end of the celebrations in most parts of North India, with huge effigies of Ravana being burned across the region.
