“It’s still funny. The most crucial issue is that it brings joy to people. I want to make folks laugh.”

Series 3 of Derry Girls will even find the effect that the peace plan has on Northern Ireland and society as a whole–“We all know that people desire this [peace] long duration, they would like to make this work. You’re constantly worried about it — you did not think it would continue

“Aunt Sarah has this crazy idea that there are going to be loads of new offenders out there, now there’s no IRA –‘ We knew what we were dealing with then…’ — people had those ridiculous conversations about what to expect when this was all we’d known.”

Who will be in season 3 Derry Girls?

As for cameo appearances, Colm Meaney says he would “love” to look at the next season of Derry Girls.
