The Karate kid is one of the most influential karate movies of the century and is considered a gem in the eighties and the nineties cinema. Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith paid an ode to the franchise with their take on the movie, which was immensely popular in late 2000. Since then, Cobra Kai, a tv series sequel to the film has gained significant momentum since its first-ever appearance as a YouTube premium show. We didn’t even know how much we needed to see Ralph Macchio and William Zabka back in action since the series first aired on YouTube. Cobra Kai has reignited the career of both these superstars who are now portraying middle-aged dojo owners, with William Zabka being an entirely dishonest and manipulative one while Ralph Macchio being the ever calm karate teacher.
Kobra Kai Season 4 Release Date
Kobra Kai has managed to stay relevant after 3 seasons that blurred the lines between the friend and the foe mentality. Season 3 ended up with Daniel Larusso and Jhonny Lawrence joining forces to battle the new evil owner of Kobra Kai, the sensei of Jhonny Lawrence, John Kreese.
In the third season, Jhon Kreese usurps the existing owner of Kobra Kai to fester more hatred in his students and teaching them to be brutal and unforgiving in a fight. John Kreese became unsuccessful in his devious intentions and now seeks the help of his rich friend Terry Silver, who appeared in the second film of the Karate kid franchise. Netflix and William Zabka announced on various social media platforms that the show has officially wrapped up shooting for the fourth season and is now in post-production. There isn’t a trailer out as of yet and for the release date, you can expect it in the coming fall which is anywhere between October and December.
