There is no date for Cobra Kai season 4, but production is already underway and we can expect new faces in future episodes of the Karate Kid sequel series. Now a Netflix original series and with the honor that its long-awaited third season has been one of the best premieres of the platform in the first months of the year, the fiction starring Ralph Macchio again in the shoes of Daniel LaRusso will return accompanied by new signings and greater prominence of other characters whom we already knew, but which we can enjoy more.

Let’s start with promotions. The fourth season of Cobra Kai will give more prominence to the characters of two of its actresses: Vanessa Rubio and Peyton List, now regular members of the cast after having been recurring since the first and second installments respectively.

Rubio plays Carmen Diaz, Miguel’s mother, Johhny Lawrence’s most important ward in fiction; while List joined the series in season two as Tory Nichols, a tough member of the Cobra Kai dojo. Both will play a larger role in the new episodes, although details on season 4 are scarce at the moment.

And what about the new signings? Nothing more and nothing less than two names are added to the list of additions to the cast of the Netflix series: the very young Dallas Dupree Young and Oona O’Brien.

Cobra Kai Season 4 Plot

Dallas Dupree Young arrives to get into the shoes of Kenny, a boy who has just entered a school as a new student and in which he is being bullied by some classmates. The boy, very interested in martial arts, will see in karate as the best way to defend himself from what is happening to him. His role, for now, will be recurring in the new season.

Where have you seen him before? He is young, but he is one of the protagonists of the Nickelodeon series Cousins For Life and you have also seen him in Shameless, The Good Place, Mixed-ish, and The Fosters.

Oona O’Brien will play Devon, a potential new karate student who is competitive and ruthless like no other, as well as a clever student and a hot-tempered woman who jumps quickly when provoked. O’Brien will also be a recurring cast member.

Where have you seen him before? Nowhere. She was one of the few young women selected to study at a prestigious acting academy and her professional experiences, for now, have been on stage.

Meanwhile, the production of the new episodes is already underway, and directly from the previous script readings comes a first “image” of season 4 confirming that the machinery is up and running: “There is no time for more training.”
