The new type of Henipavirus also termed as LayV, Langya Henipavirus was found in the throat. Media reports swab fragment from febrile patients in eastern China, state-run Global Times quoted.

Some reserchers says  new virus has jumped from an animal to humans. LayV virus RNA has been predominantly found in shrews, which may be its natural hosts. The study was in zero counting on shrews fact finding after conducting a survey on domestic and wild animals. Majorly it is also  domestic animals, seropositivity was detected in goats and dogs.

Maximum of the times they have caused limited disease, dying out without having a major residual. In the after effects of Covid-19, however most tracking systems now are in place and picking up novel pathogens.

According the reports there is currently no vaccine or treatment for Henipavirus and the only treatment is supportive care to manage complications.

Do we need to worry

In further investigation found that 26 out of 35 cases of Langya Henipavirus infection. Shandong and Henan provinces have progressed clinical symptoms such as fever, irritability, cough, anorexia, myalgia, nausea, headache and vomiting, as per information.

As so far the cases of Langya henipavirus has not been fatal or very serious till now. At the present time there is no need for panic. Wang Linfa, a Professor who works in the Programme of Emerging Infectious Diseases at Duke-NUS Medical School who was has been involved in the study. Additionally he says, boosting up to virus that it is still a cause for alert. So ever many viruses that exist in nature have unpredictable outcomes when they infect humans.

LayV is a further segment of the genus Henipavirus, which is a single-stranded RNA genome with a contradiction orientation. An emblematic aspect of henipaviruses Paramyxovirinae are their larger genomes. Long drawn out untranslated regions that are over 100 amino acids longer than any other known phosphoprotein in the family.
