Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey Expects to see the Series return by Christmas 2021. Bailey plays with Viscount Anthony Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series. Season 1 saw his character overseeing the courtship of his sister, Daphne, but season 2 will follow Bailey’s personality and his romantic journey. The series relies on the Julia Quinn romance books, and every follows a Bridgerton sibling as they hunt for love in Regency-era London.
Bridgerton, which premiered on Christmas Day 2020, fast became a massive hit for Netflix. Soon after its release, the streamer suggested that the show would reach over 60 million families in its first month, becoming one of its best original series releases of all time. Those numbers were upgraded a couple of weeks later, with Bridgerton becoming Netflix’s biggest original show. The streamer accounts its numbers itself, which makes it different from TV networks or other platforms, but Bridgerton has dominated both Netflix’s Top 10 chart and the net itself in the months since its release.
A season 2 renewal was all but guaranteed, and it was finally confirmed Bridgerton will return, with a spring production start date. Bailey informed EW he hopes the show can return to shows by the end of this year. The actress said, “We’ll all be back for more romance, hopefully next Christmas, maybe further away. ”

Netflix’s fast monitoring of Bridgerton season 2 sure makes it look like the streamer is planning to replicate the magic of this season 1 vacation premiere. Christmas is the perfect date for a couple of reasons. For starters, the show’s romantic sentiments are perfect Christmastime fodder. It also helps that over the holidays, a lot of people are home for a couple of weeks with nothing to do but binge watch tv. In addition, taking into consideration the success of Bridgerton season 1, it might be smart of Netflix to make the season two premiere launch as like that as possible.
Though, Bridgerton season two is very likely to be a hit regardless of when it is released, and the production should take its time to best the show rather than rush it to meet any particular date. However, with many novels previously released in the series of novels, it’s probably that the team behind the show has had Bridgerton season 2 mapped out for quite some time, making it simpler to begin filming so soon after season 1 premiered. Like Bailey, many are likely hoping for a Bridgerton reunite at Christmastime. However, cautiousness is key whilst filming in the middle of a pandemic, and unforeseen delays are always possible. When season 2 begins filming, hopefully it will get easier to forecast that the show’s return.
