The information on who Batwoman was was passed on in different ways, but by the end of episode 1, every one from his father, Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott), to his ex-girlfriend Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy), knew Kate Kane’s secret identity. (Ruby Rose).

Most of the episode focused on Kate’s friends and foes searching for her and the Batwoman costume, which was discovered by a homeless woman named Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie).

Once the authorities had gone through all the debris and washed away the river, there was no sign of Kate Kane, alive or dead. Ironically, it was Kate’s twisted sister Alice (Rachel Skarsten) who took the reports of her death in Batwoman the most.

Alice is the one who tensely reveals the secret identity of Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) to Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott), telling him that his beloved daughter was Batwoman; the vigilante whom he had spent the last few months trying to kill.

The news seemed to devastate Sophie in more ways than one. It also didn’t help that it was clear that Julia Pennyworth (whom Sophie had started dating in Batwoman ) had been privy to Kate’s secret and had also lied to Sophie about it.

However, the worst part of all was that it seemed like there was no way any of them could reconcile these issues in the wake of Kate Kane’s apparent death in Batwoman.
