It’s been over half a decade but fans are still awaiting a continuation of Kou and Futaba’s narrative into Haru Ride’s anime adaptation series.
Also known as blue Spring Ride’, ‘Ao Haru Ride‘ is based on a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Io Sakisaka. The arcade adaptation was produced by Generation I.G. and released in 2014.
Let us find out whether the anime show is coming back for more.
Here is what we know so far.
Despite popular demand, the critically acclaimed shoujo anime is to procure a season 2 renewal from Production I.G.
The show is not canceled either, so some fans are still choosing to cling to that glimmer of hope despite not hearing about season two renewal in a very long time.
The delay in the renewal might be due to the lack of source material to market.
Anime series are used to market and drive earnings to the manga or mild book series where the show is established. The formula is straightforward. The more popular an anime series is, the further manga becomes sold.
Even though there is still a lot of chapters made to pay season two, the manga and novel have which the show is based already ended serialization in 2015. So perhaps, there isn’t any more a reason to bring the series back.
The first season ended in a small cliffhanger, so fans were demanding for the series to come back. Unfortunately, Generation I.G. is to answer their telephone.
There’s not any precise or we could say fix dates to the shipment of season 2. The series is most probably going to be premiere at the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022. When the show airs it will likely be available to stream online for free on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
