Anushka’s Early Life and Family
Anushka Sharma is an Indian actress and film producer. She works majorly in Bollywood films. Born on 1 May 1988 (Present Age: 33 years old) in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, she is one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in India. Her parents are Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, and her mother is Ashima Sharma. Her father is an army officer while mother is a homemaker. Anushka’s ancestral home is in Dehradun on Naishvilla road. In her childhood, she lived in Sheela Bhawan of Naishvilla road.
After competing her primary schooling at St. Mary’s School, Margherita, Assam, she was raised in Bangalore. However, in St. Mary’s Sakshi Dhoni who is the wife of M.S Dhoni was her classmate. In Bangalore, she completed her schooling at Army School. Later, she enrolled for graduation in arts at the Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.
Her Career Trajectory
Anushka had no dreams to be an actress. After completing her graduation, she moved to Mumbai get into a modelling career. Therefore, she enrolled herself at the Elite Model Management. However, soon after in 2007, she made her runway debut at the Lakme Fashion Week . While she was modelling, she also joined an acting school. Thereafter, she started auditioning for film roles.
In 2008, Anushka landed the leading role of Tani Sahni in the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Her role was opposite Bollywood’s King Khan. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was a commercial hit, it was the second highest-grossing fil of 2008. Anushka became a star overnight. Thereafter, she featured in Badmaash Company, Band Baajaa Baaraat, and Patiala House.

Her major successful stint stared from the year 2014. She did films like PK, Bombay Velvet, Sultan, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In 2018, Anushka was featured by Forbes magazine in top 30 under 30 list.

On December 11, 2017, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Italy. Their wedding was witnessed by close family members and friends. The couple first met at an advertisement shoot for a shampoo brand. However, after dating for a few years, they decided to get married.
