While every season in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story follows a brand new story and cast, Season 10 of the anthology series will fluctuate in tone in comparison to the past seasons, according to celebrity Finn Wittrock.

“I feel this is OK to say, I think the suspense in the tight, constrained nature of the narrative is different than other seasons. I had been really interested in trying to mount the pressure in an ideal way if that makes sense, It differs in tone compared to a lot of the other seasons.”

Wittrock has starred in American Horror Story Seasons 4 (Freak Show), 5 (Hotel), 6 (Roanoke), and 9 (1984). This has provided him the chance to play various characters while functioning under similar production frameworks.

“What is fun about this show is that no two items are ever exactly the same,” he added. “It’s like,’ Do you wanna come in and perform that single episode, or would you wanna come in and be the director of this season?’ ‘Can you wanna come to be a crazy psycho killer?’ ‘Do you wanna come in and be this relatively normal daddy?’ You just never know what you are gonna get.”
