The Emmy winner FX series is coming back with a new subject for a third season, and this time the show is going political. On IMDB, the show has been ranked 8.5. Fans are hoping for a third one after two groundbreaking seasons of American Crime Story. The first season of the crime drama presented the public with a closer look at the O.J. trial. Simpson and the second season illustrated Gianni Versace’s assassination. In August 2019, the chairman of FX productions revealed that season three will be entitled Impeachment: American Crime Story, exploring Clinton’s notorious sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky. There is no question that fans are excited about it but to see if they have to wait a little longer! To find out the release date and the stars attached to the film, keep on reading.
British actor Clive Owen, confirmed by FX, will play President Bill Clinton. Monica Lewinsky will play Beanie Feldstein, Paula Jones will play Sarah Paulson (who played Marica Clark in The People V O.J. Simpson) will play Linda Tripp. Annaleigh Ashford (who played Elizabeth Cote in Gianni Versace’s Assassination) will play Paula Jones. Billy Eichner as Matt Drudge, Anthony Green as Al Gore, Margo Martindale as Lucianne Goldberg, and GLOW star Betty Gilpin as the con star.
Sarah Paulson sent out a tweet on November 14, 2020, announcing that principal photography had started with American Crime Story: Impeachment. In January and February 2016 and February 2018, seasons 1 and 2 of American Crime Story were released respectively. Fans therefore hoped that American Crime Story Season 3 will arrive in January or February 2020.b In January 2020, FX eventually announced that the air date had been postponed due to the busy schedule of Executive Producer Ryan Murphy. The September 27 date was not feasible because Murphy will not be able to start production on American Crime Story Season 3 until March 21, 2020, according to FX chairman John Landgraf at the 2020 TCA winter press tour.
In the form of a mini-series, American Crime Story takes the high profile cases of contemporary America to the audience. After initiating the trial of O.J. Simpson’s assassination of Versace Gianni is official; the impeachment hearings against Bill Clinton will be illuminated in season three. A book written by Jeffrey Toobin, A Vast Conspiracy, will be based on the story. Murphy said that instead of her, no one could say the story of Monica Lewinsky; it would be gross if anyone did! This indicates season three, dealing with the untold tale and how women were influenced by it. The neglected aspects will also be illustrated by Impeachment: American Crime Story, and it will focus more on women who were the victims of the scandal rather than Clinton’s presidency.
