Her Early Life and Family

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the winner of Miss World Pageant 1994 and an Indian actress. Born on 1 November 1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka (Present Age: 48 years old), she grew up in a Bunt family. Her parents are Krishnaraj and Vrinda. Her father was an Army Biologist meanwhile her mother was a housewife. Aishwarya has a sibling- one elder brother named Aditya Rai. He is an engineer and works in the merchant navy.

Aishwarya Rai attended the Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai. Post that, she joined Jai Hind College for a year to complete her intermediate schooling. Later, she completed her education at G Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Matunga and secured 90 percent marks.

Aishwarya Rai Career

Aishwarya was a brilliant student. She used to always score more than 90 percent marks. Alongside studies, she also learned classical dance. When she was in 9th standard, she did an advertisement for Camlin pencils. It was her first advertisement commercial.

However, Aishwarya was keen to study further. She has developed a strong interest in the Zoology subject. Still, she was confused between medicine and architecture as her profession. After a lot of contemplation, she finally chose architecture and decided to join Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture. Before joining college, she did a brief modelling gig. From then onwards, she began getting a lot of modelling opportunities. Finally, she left her college in the middle to pursue her career in modeling. Subsequently, in the year 1994, she participated in Miss India pageant. However, she lost against Sushmita Sen due to her lack of public speaking skills. Although in the same year, she participated in Miss World pageant and won the title. With this title, Aishwarya Rai became a household name in India. She then went on to be a part of the Bollywood film industry and gave several hits like Devdas, Jodhaa Akbar, Guru, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Guzaarish.

In 2007, Aishwarya Rai married Abhishek Bachchan in a grand lavish ceremony. The couple has a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan together. She is popularly called Beti B.
