People were direct to sadness as it was declared that the series would be cancelled right after its next season. But this sadness was short-lived as Warner bros… Animation revealed a little later that the show would go back for the third season.
Plot
The series follows some teenage and young adult superhero sidekicks that are looking to make a name for themselves within this villain-infested world. They want to show the world that they are capable of standing up for themselves.
However, even though they are superheroes, them being teens is a fact that can not be ignored. So while being an individual that saves the world on one side, they also have to take care of some personal issues daily which comes with being a teen.
Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Speedy are invited to a meeting of the Justice League with their mentors. But in the last moment, before the meeting was going to begin, the teens are called off, this angers Speedy, and he melts away.

The other three make their way to fix an issue where a fire has broken out. The flame is at Cadmus labs, and also what they find it is shocking. They find a clone of Superman, who they call SuperBoy. They help him escape, and by doing this, they show illegal stuff going down in the laboratory.
These things that weren’t understood by the Justice League, Batman and the other mentors are impressed and opt to generate a team of those teenage superheroes naming them Young Justice. They are provided a foundation, and Batman gives them assignments from time to time at which other mentors are also present to watch them over.
Afterwards, Speedy also makes his way back to the group with the new name Red Arrow. They are also joined by many other superhero sidekicks. The main antagonist group of this show is Light, a group consisting of a few major villains. It’s later shown that Red Arrow is part of Light and helps the villains take over the Justice League along with young Justice.
But everybody is able to break away from this trap, however for some reason, at the conclusion of the season, many of the members find themselves far away from where they were.
The second season takes place 5 years later what has gone down. Under the spell of Light, some personalities in the Justice League and attacked a peaceful alien world which causes a lot of problems. Now a ton of alien races is hoping to invade earth, and our heroes have to prevent them.
During this season, we also see members of the Justice league leaving earth to clear their names. We also see several members join and others leave the Young Justice. Aqualad, who left the team at the beginning, is later revealed to be a double-agent.
Now our super-group must deal with Reach and the issues created by Light, that now has many more villains in their roster. Season 3 has gotten a lot tougher for the heroes, making it among the very action-packed seasons.
Release Date
The HBO Max channel has shown the new fourth season will probably be out on August 24th, 2021.
Ever since the series was created, it’s mainly received positive reviews. Everyone praised the show for getting a great story that featured very old characters. Every character was well-written and had a very profound story to themselves. This led to people picking favourites and the entire show getting a massive fan following.
