In winters it gets difficult to find motivation. It’s that time of the year when your warm and cozy bed becomes almost irresistible. The urge to stay in is so overwhelming that it often takes over our fitness goals. But does fitness is only for specific months? The answer is a plain No. If you are determined towards keeping yourself fit, then exercising and eating right has to be continued in every season of the year. In this article, I have curated a bunch of tips to help you navigate through the motivation road to keep you going.
Set Goals for yourself
When you set goals for yourself, motivation follows. Therefore, try to set up small goals for yourself and associate rewards with the completion of each goal.
Have a workout-buddy
If you are finding it too difficult to get up and get going, I have a suggestion- get a buddy. Exercising with a friend keeps you motivated, accountable, and helps you both to get out of bed and exercise. When you agree to exercise with a friend, it gives you an additional benefit (other than exercise) to do something active. It becomes a way to socialize and have a good time along with health benefits. Winter Workout is really helpful.

Exercise at your home
In winter, you can start your workout by mild stretching and cardio at home. It is a good way to loosen up your muscles and get into the workout mindset. Additionally, it also helps in raising the body temperature which gets the body prepared for the winter chills. If the weather outside is making you feel like it’s better to stay home… then you can definitely do a workout at home. You just need to have a proper mindset. A good session of yoga or HIIT workout can be simply done at home with the help of YouTube videos.
Don’t forget your ‘Why’
There can be many reasons why you began working out in the first place. Whether it’s you want to lose a few kilos or you wish to have glowing skin, no reason is small enough. One piece of advice that’s really important is always to stay connected to your reason for doing a particular thing. There might be times when you forget why you started, and in those times remind yourself of YOUR reason.
As we know, exercising can help in boosting your serotonin levels which consequently puts you in a better mood. It has many other benefits like alleviating long-term depression and anxiety.
