When she was asked about what were the challenges she had to face during the movie project, she said, “My biggest challenge while bringing Rukhsar to life was the Hyderabadi accent I needed to get right. Hyderabadi Urdu has a distinctive quality and I spent a lot of time interacting with and observing people in Hyderabad to appropriately capture the nuances. I just practiced by talking to everyone I could. I also had my father and Abid Bhai (Abid Shah – Story, screenplay, dialogue writer) who were continuously guiding and training me every step of the way.” She also spoke about her role in the front and big-screen after working in the back as assistant editor and assistant director. What Jahnavi said is, “It’s been a profuse experience for working as the lead actor in Bolo Hau. Always I have been behind the camera, leading on the edit table. Though, acting has always had a very special place in my heart. I’ve been performing for as long as I can think of and much before editing came into my life. Really, I never considered to go forward with it professionally until recently. At first, I was a little apprehensive, but as time went by I couldn’t shake off the desire to perform. I felt that if I didn’t give this a fair shot, I’d live to regret it. The outcome is beside the point, we don’t know what may or may not happen, but we do owe it to ourselves to at least give it a shot and here I am, taking that chance and hoping for the best.” In this movie, Jahnavi played opposite Ankit Rathi.
