Delighted news for fans that famous iconic duo Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol will be seen together on-screen together in a forthcoming project of Raj Kumar Hirani in 2022. SRK will be back in acting after his last movie release in 2018, “Zero”, after four years. Big actors like Tapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Manoj Bajpayee, and Vidya Balan are also likely to play key roles in the project.
A source revealed, “Apart from being Hirani’s favorite, he [Boman] is one of the finest actors we have today. His role in the movie is a quirky one, just like some of his previous characters from Hirani’s movies. The music for the movie will be composed by Shantanu Moitra with lyrics by Swanand Kirkire,”, “Hirani then wanted to rewrite the script, which took time. It will be a joint production between Hirani and Shah Rukh’s production house, Red Chillies, with Hirani also directing the film”.
Vidya Balan’s acting in “Sherni” was taken into consideration as her performance in the movie impressed Hirani. Vidya disclosed that she always has been a big fan of SRK but she was never approached for a movie to work with him, but her acting skills in her last movie proved to be the best and that’s when she was taken as a 3rd female character in a movie with SRK, after Tapsee.
Manoj Bajpayee, who was last seen in a series released on Amazon Prime Video, “The Family Man”, will also be playing a key role along with Boman Irani. This movie of Hirani is based on immigration where Kajol will be seen as the wife of Shah Rukh Khan, while Tapsee will be playing the role of a reporter where she covers the story of the border and Vidya will be playing as a person who helps Shah Rukh.

Kajol is delighted to be working again on the big screen, shares a post on her Instagram handle with a caption, “The feel of a set after so long is something else… it feels like a party!” She was last seen with SRK in Rohit Shetty’s “Dilwale” released in 2015.
The movie is based on a journey of a man and his families across two countries i.e., India (Punjab) and Canada. This movie, according to a source, is a social comedy that highlights the immigration journey of a man (SRK). Shooting for the movie is likely to begin from April 2022.
Kajol and Shah Rukh shared the screen in several movies giving the blockbuster hits of all time, “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam”, etc. Kajol was seen last in a movie titled “Tribhanga” which was released on an OTT platform Netflix. Mithila Palkar and Tanvi Azmi also played an important part in a film.
According to one of the sources, “…It’s an exciting combination as Hirani and Kajol have never worked together. Plus, Shah Rukh-Kajol Jodi is an explosive combination.” Next year in 2022, fans will be watching their favorite blockbuster duo on the big screen together in a social comedy by Rajkumar Hirani.
